Walking along tranquil, forested trails with the stunning Koksilah River flowing under the Cowichan Valley’s most popular suspension bridge, it’s not surprising that Bright Angel Park, located in beautiful Cowichan Station, is one of the most popular well-visited parks attracting 80,000 visits annually. Families with young children enjoy the playground and open grassy areas while park visitors wanting to cool off on a hot summer day can find a shady spot along the river.

Bright Angel Park has two picnic shelters that are available for rental. Both the upper picnic shelter and the lower picnic shelter are available for daytime use. Each of these facilities are available for groups of up to 60 people.

The upper picnic shelter features seating for up to 30 people, has an open fire pit and is nearest to the public washroom building and parking lot.

The lower picnic shelter features seating for up to 60 people, has a woodstove style cooker and is closer to the Koksilah River.
