Procurement

The Cowichan Valley Regional District utilizes a competitive bid process to procure goods, services and construction. This process is subject to specific requirements including:

  • New West Partnership Trade Agreement (NWPTA)
  • Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FOIPPA)

Under NWPTA, the Cowichan Valley Regional District is required to also advertise bid opportunities on BC Bid when the expected value of the purchase is:

  • $75,000 or greater for Goods and/or Services; and
  • $200,000 or greater for Construction.

This portal is accessible here free of charge. 

CVRD bid opportunities will also continue to be advertised on BC Bid.
