Notice to CVRD utility customers for Lambourn Estates sewer, Honeymoon Bay water, Shellwood water

Due to the current Canada Post strike action, residents in these three systems may experience delays in receiving their CVRD Utility bill notices. Customers are encouraged to use alternative methods to make payments prior to December 31, 2024.

CVRD welcomes Kate Segall as new Chair of the Board of Directors

The CVRD Board of Directors has elected Kate Segall as the new Chair and Tim McGonigle as Vice Chair of the CVRD. Directors Segall and McGonigle were both acclaimed to their new roles during the Regular Board Meeting of November 13.

The CVRD has signed a lease to use the parking lot of the Ramada Inn on Highway 1 to operate an emergency warming centre as needed between November 15, 2024 and March 31, 2025.

The CVRD is introducing a new Bylaw Dispute Adjudication System in addition to municipal ticketing, which will allow some bylaw disputes to be dealt with at the local level, rather than the Provincial Court system.
