The CVRD has a number of parks with picnic shelters that are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Although these picnic shelters do not require a reservation or fee, the CVRD requests that individuals still notify us of your event, if it falls into any of the following categories:
It is important to note that notification of your event provides permission for event/group use from the CVRD, but does not provide exclusive use of the park or its facilities. However, by notifying the CVRD, it allows us to advise of any closures, maintenance or other scheduled events at the park.
If your event is: open to the public, greater than 40 people, requires any set-up (tents, tables, chairs, etc.) or is hosted by a club, organization or business, please visit the Special Events & Special Use Permits page of our website for details on how to host a special event in a park.
