Fire Rescue Departments Collaborate – Communities Helping Communities
Duncan, BC - Six volunteer fire departments are collaborating to recruit, train and retain firefighters within the Cowichan Valley Regional District. Volunteer fire rescue departments are working together to raise awareness for the need for dedicated, keen, volunteers who have the time and commitment to become well-trained fire fighters and provide this essential service to their communities.
A fire fighter recruitment event is being held in conjunction with the North Oyster Volunteer Fire Department’s 60th anniversary. This open house will include demonstrations, presentations, and equipment displays. A light BBQ and refreshments will also be served.
