Updated - Nov.1, 2023: The Province has lowered the Drought level for East Vancouver Island to Drought Level 0. As a result, most Water Restrictions for the Cowichan region are now lowered to Stage 1. Water Restrictions start in the CVRD every May 1 at Stage 1 and typically end for most areas on Oct. 31 (depending on drought conditions).
Thank you to all the residents and businesses who’ve been stepping up their water conservation efforts this year. Your help in tackling drought conditions and preserving water for the community is appreciated!
