COVID-19 UPDATE

 Due to COVID-19, CVRD Recycling Centres have made some changes: 

 Reduced hours:

Peerless - Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday 9-5

Meade Creek - Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday 9-5

Bings Creek - Regular hours

To accommodate safe physical distancing, the following site restrictions are in place:

* only 10 customers will be permitted in the Recycling Centre at a time

* we accept credit or debit only, cash is not accepted at this time.

We are asking Cowichan residents to make some changes too: 

Please DO NOT visit the Recycling Centres unless absolutely necessary

Line-ups at Centres could be potentially dangerous to your health and safety as well as CVRD staff health and safety 

Long line ups can cause frustration and lead to long wait times 

Please consider storing yard waste until the emergency is lifted

Household recycling that is not picked up curbside can be set aside until conditions improve

 These restrictions and requests are not forever. They are for right now. Let’s all do out part and help to flatten the curve together.
